Isn't this Marmora Road Victorian home truly lovely? It's been featured pretty much everywhere, from Light locations, but still. Amazing how a home can be graceful, cozy and charming all at the same time.
The white plank floors and pale, dove gray walls with those gorgeous molding makes a simply sweet canvas. I love how there are unexpected pops of bright color in each room.
Scattered art in ornate frames, dark stained wood mixed with painted wood pieces, ornate frames and lighting mixed with clean simple lines, i feel like it's the best of both worlds here.

Well, the Thanksgiving week is upon us, and that means it's time to show my Thanksgiving mantle. I really loved and prefer my crisp white fall mantle, that changed swiftly to the Halloween mantle, and I left a few pieces out for this. Some may wonder why I excessively change my mantle. Well, it's one of the only surfaces in my home that I have that I can put decor on, and so there it is. Plus, I just love to rearrange and be creative, and I bore easily of seeing the same thing up there too many weeks in a row.
Well, my sis and her 4 boys will be joining my hubs, mom, my 2 boys and myself for the weekend, and we are so happy to see them. Isn't that what Thanksgiving is all about?? Taking the time to reflect on what is important and deciding to make a change to enjoy those things a little more.
May your pies be yummy, your bellies be stuffed and your homes filled with warmth, love and laughter. I love love love this short little video of learning to see and appreciate those little things, and live in thanksgiving daily:
Here is a cute little video of random people on the streets of New York City sharing a variety of grateful responses to one simple question: What are you thankful for?

I just wanted to let the world know, that a room with a mixture of whites, blacks, grays and beige can still be warm, inviting and full of personality. Add a tiny pale splash of any color you wish (like the light blush pillows and throw above) for a touch of warmth and charm. Need more color? With a white palate, it's easy to add colorful pieces anytime you wish, I like to rotate things out according to my mood and seasons.

With blue being such a cool color, it always looks so lovely paired with fellow cools in whites and soft greys. I know blue really shines when paired with oranges, reds and yellows, but sometimes, that may feel just too 'loud'. I really love seeing a gentle, subdued warmth infused in these blue accented rooms through soft amber and wood tones along with the crisp beauty of white. Each room has distinct natural and organic accessories, from sisal rugs, antlers, or flowering branches. Touches of the outdoors help to cozy up a space that may feel too stuffy or contrived. When a room just doesn't seen to click, remove one glassy/iron/electronic/fake thing add some type of an organic fiber... and allow the space to breathe.

I love the room redo shown above. So hodge podge, simple, and full of personality.
I discovered a sweet blog awhile back by Marichelle called Lifeflix. She has the most beautiful baby ever (who wore the most adorable owl Halloween costume and who also has the most adorable nursery) and her blog is really a breath of fresh air. I'm loving her Operation Lose Baby Fat series right now. If you love adorable and simple crafts (like the clouds crafts, twig mobile and kid's animal masks), healthy and delicious recipes, and original eye candy, then do visit.

It's starting to get a little cold outside! With little boys, I need some indoor activities that can be used to stretch the imagination, but it's a big plus if they are pretty to look at. I found this neat new shop called Cool Spaces for Kids and everything is so sweet.
lovely indoor teepee play tent by moozle home.
I remember we had a pacman indoor tent when we were little and it was so fun, but we still made our own with chairs, and blankets. Right now, our tents consist of couch cushions and sheets, but a teepee, that would be lovely. Christmas is coming around the corner...

I have always loved cuckoo clocks. They remind of the fall, since they usually feature woodland themes, so it's really the perfect time for them. My mother in law has a very ornate one from Germany when they lived there and it's so sweet. One day I would love one of my own from my own world travels. This diy pair from ever kelly are simple crafts, complete with an instruction list and tutorial here.(click here for pdf version)...something that could tide me over and look charming in our home.
